It not a joke there really is a temple where tigers live with people in harmony. Founded in 1994 as a temple of the forest the first tiger cub arrived in 1999.
Sadly it died shortly but monks at the temple received a couple more cubs and they cared for them. Since then the tiger numbers have risen to more than a hundred within the temple itself. Tigers are not fed with raw meat to insure the safety of monks and visitors that come to satisfy their curiosity.
They are allowed to walk among the animals, take pictures and even pet them as the tigers have growed accustomed to humans because they live with the monks. Main purpose of the temple is to breed tigers for future generations and eventually repopulate tiger numbers in the wild.
