Tiger tail

This time I'm not talking about tales of the big cat but about its tail. That's right. Tigers use their tails for balance while walking or running.

A strong tail is necessary for making a sharp turn while running after a prey in a hunt. Felines without tails seem to experience no hindrance at all. Length of tiger tails range between 1-1.5 meters depending on the various breeds.

By the way did you know that tigers and all other cats wild and domesticated use their tails for communication.

Oh yes, they show their different moods by the way they carry and swing their tails around.
